Our Data Sources

Every data point on CardStack is traceable to its source. We pull from:

• Official credit card product pages and terms
• CFPB Credit Card Agreements Database
• Expert point and mile valuation sources
• Community-sourced approval datapoints
• Visa and Mastercard merchant category databases
• SEC filings for issuer financial data

How We Make Money

CardStack earns compensation when visitors click affiliate links and apply for credit cards. This compensation helps fund our data infrastructure and keeps the site free.

Important: Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings. Our scores and recommendations are generated algorithmically from our data. We display the same rankings regardless of whether a card has an affiliate relationship.

Our ranking methodology is fully transparent and available on our Methodology page. No issuer can pay for placement or influence their score.
